Is it safe to treat anxiety and depression remotely?

While treating mental health carries inherent risk, the risk of NOT treating mental health is far greater. Treatment is tailored to you based on your symptoms, your needs, your experiences and your preferences. For some, this may be therapy; for others, medications. And for others, both. We know medication will not impact every person the same way which is why we insist on consistent follow ups. To err on the side of safety, we do not treat people with severe depression or those with high risk features remotely.

You can reach out to your K-affiliated doctor through the app as often as you need during our normal business hours. If you feel like you might harm yourself or others, please contact 911 immediately, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.
